The Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley Region
This program provides FREE breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening tests and follow-up services to uninsured or under-insured County residents who meet eligibility requirements. For more information and appointments, call toll-free at 1-855-277-4482.
Services covered by program:
- Colorectal cancer screening for men and women 50 & older or at high risk for colorectal cancer
- Clinical breast exam, Pap test and screening mammogram for women 40 & older or at high risk for breast cancer
The Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley Region is funded by a grant from the New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and works in partnership with the American Cancer Society, Rockland County Department of Health, Nyack Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and members of the Rockland County medical community.

Public Health Insurance Programs
Family Health Plus is a program for adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who do not have health insurance, either on their own or through their employers, but have income or resources too high to qualify for Medicaid. Family Health Plus is available to single adults, couples without children, and parents with limited income who are residents of New York State and are United States citizens or fall under one of many immigration categories. Medicaid is a program for New Yorkers who can't afford to pay for medical care. You may be covered by Medicaid if :
- You have high medical bills.
- You receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
- You meet certain income, resource, age, or disability requirements.
